In a Facebook post, the organisers said: “After taking expert advice, the committee of Bishop’s Waltham Garden Fair has had to take the difficult decision to move this year’s fair to Hoe Road Recreation Grounds, Bishop’s Waltham, SO32 1DU. This is due to inadequate parking availability were we to hold the fair at the Palace Ruins. All parking can now be on site, making it a very convenient location.”
They will have a cake decorating competition for children who have to decorate a Victoria sponge with the theme of a summer garden.
The fair, from 10am-4pm, is held in aid of St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital which treats people regardless of ethnicity or ability to pay, in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
