Toby Oliver is a reporter for the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser. He mainly covers Winchester and surrounding villages. He also curates the sport pages for the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser. Toby graduated from the University of Brighton in 2020 with a degree in sport journalism. He enjoys playing table tennis and the double bass. Toby has his NCTJ Diploma in Journalism and is currently studying for his senior journalist qualification.

Gardening club meeting, call for volunteers and more in the Bishop's Waltham area

BISHOP'S Waltham Gardening Club's June meeting will be on the gardens of Russia. It will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at Bishop's Waltham Junior School, with doors open at 6.45pm.  The speaker will be John Baker and he will talk about Russia's ever-changing scenery and its flora. COLDEN Common Bowls Club is having an open day. The event will be held on Sunday, May 19 from 11am-4pm.  The club is always looking for new members, from the experienced to the new.  The run league matches and friendlies between Hampshire clubs.
