A NORTH Baddesley man has been banned from the road for one year after being caught drink driving on New Year's Day.
Alessandro Carosi, of Botley Road, was caught on the A3057, a court heard.
Carosi, 38, pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 1.
He was found to have 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Carosi was banned from driving for 12 months, but it can be reduced by 12 weeks if he completes a course by August 31.
He also must pay a fine of £184, costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £74. This has to be paid by February 29.
