Eastleigh exited their third cup competition in the space of ten days at the Silverlake Stadium.
A mix of first-teamers and youth players were dumped out of the Hampshire FA Senior Cup third round 3-0 by Sydenhams Premier outfit Horndean.
Eastleigh lined up with Chris Todd, Dean Beckwith, Yemi Odubade, Jai Reason and Stuart Fleetwood all in the starting line-up, but it was the livewire Deans who triumphed to book a home quarter-final against AFC Bournemouth’s development squad.
Rob Pittman, Mark Smith and sub Nathan Paxton scored for Wessex underdogs.
