Sparsholt's annual parish meeting will take place on Saturday, April 20 starting at 10am in the Memorial Hall. The parish council is required to call a meeting every year between March 1 and June 1. The meeting will include reports on the activities of the council and other parish associations/organisations.

A Churchyard Cleanup will take place at St. Stephen's, Sparsholt, on Saturday, April 27 from 10am to 1pm. All volunteers will be warmly welcomed with their garden equipment, while elevenses and lunch will be provided.

The National Pony Society is inviting people to Sparsholt Equine Centre on Sunday, April 21 for an open Spring show. The show is a qualifier for the NPS Winter and Summer championship show, as well as the Malvern and South West Pony Association Summer championships 2024. M&M and plaited in hand, and ridden classes. 

ITCHEN Abbas Primary School is organising a volunteer day for the morning of Saturday, April 20. Anyone who would like to help with ‘odd jobs’ such as gardening and repairs should contact the school at admin@itchenabbas.org.uk to get involved.

THE Friends of Sparsholt School are urging school parents to save the date for a morning yoga session on Wednesday, April 24. Tickets cost £9 and can be purchased from class representatives, and includes a tea or coffee after the session.

Sparsholt School will be holding a Bags2School clothes collection on Tuesday, April 30. Donate your unwanted clothes and raise money for the school. Clothes can be left in the school hall before 9am and a parent will follow the school bus in the morning to pick up donations.

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held in. Stephen’s Church in Sparsholt on April 23 at 7.30pm. Meet the new Rector, Rev Kevin Rogers and have your say on what you would like to happen in the Church community.

The Worthies Sports and Social Club will be holding a craft makers market on Sunday, April 21 at The Worthies Sports and Social Club, in Lovedon Lane. The event will be open from 10.30am to 2.30pm, with entry and parking free. Non-members are also welcome.

Hampshire County Council will be undertaking carriageway asphalt preservation along Springvale Road, from Elan Court to Nations Hill on Tuesday, April 30. The works are expected to take one night to complete and during this time, the road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 8pm to 6am. The road will be open outside of these hours.

Yellow display boards will be displayed before the works start and should be updated if the works are delayed.

Join the Worthys Conservation Volunteers and the Friends of Top Field to help remove tree tubes and spiral guards from the young plants. The group plans to get rid of the plastic, now that the plants are established, with Winchester City Council recycling all the waste for us. The event will take place on Sunday, April 21 from 2pm to 4pm.
