After a wait of more than four years, the highly anticipated return of the CAMRA Winchester Beer and Cider Festival will take place in 2024.

With the last festival finishing the week before the country went into lockdown for COVID-19 in March 2020, it has been announced that the festival will return on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, at the festival's new venue at Winchester University Student Union, in Sparkford Road.

At this year’s festival, up to 77 cask real ales will be showcased, alongside a selection of craft beers and a range of cider.

The new location will allow room to offer more seating across two floors as well as a large outside terrace, allowing customers to enjoy a tipple in the summer sun.

With all beers to be located in one space and a break out room to enable a permanent ‘quiet session’ where customers can chat to friends over a pint.

Four sessions will be running this year, on Friday, June 7 from 11.30am to 4pm, before an evening session on the same day, taking place between 6pm and 10.30pm, where live music will also be shown.
