Considering the dramatic effect not only on the locality, but wider area almost joining Winchester and Basingstoke it is no surprise that there are serious concerns about the Popham plan.
Three thousand homes equates to potentially 6,000 residents and realistically 2,000 vehicles. A 'village'? Doubtless it would morph into a new town. I am a pessimist when it comes to such plans.
Development of brownfield sites does not impact the green areas and has less impact on services, infrastructure.
Once developed it cannot be reversed.
We owe it to future generations to protect our precious countryside.
