A Winchester man has been fined for attacking a police officer and for motoring offences.
Martyn Lewis, 50, of Longfield Road, Winnall, admitted assaulting and also obstructing Ben Diment on September 6 last year, a court heard.
Lewis also pleaded guilty to having no test certificate for his vehicle and failing to co-operate with a preliminary test in Winnall Manor Road, Winnall.
Magistrates in Basingstoke on Wednesday February 21 imposed a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 12 days, four penalty points on Lewis's driving licence, a £250 fine and a £114 victim surcharge.
Lewis was also ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer.
