A Chandler's Ford man has been banned from the road after failing to stop after an accident.
David Chant, 34, of Suffolk Drive, was involved in a crash on Chilworth Road, near Southampton, on December 4 2022, a court heard.
Chant was driving a 58-reg Ford Transit when a collision happened with a 08-reg Volkswagen Eos and he failed to stop and exchange details with the other driver. He also admitted driving with no insurance.
In a hearing at Southampton Magistrates Court on Friday February 2 Chant was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £540 and ordered to pay £400 prosecution costs.
Charges of failing to report and accident and wasting police time were denied and dismissed after no evidence was offered by the prosecution.
