It follows after Luke Martin, 28, of Jewry Street, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm at a property in Netley Abbey on March 5.
He was given a community order until February 28, 2025 with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement by Southampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday August 30.
Martin was also ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay a £60 fine, as well as court costs of £40 and a £114 victim surcharge.
The magistrates also passed a restraining order banning him from going to an address in Netley Abbey until February 28 2025.
