POLICE are warning residents about a group of door-to-door sellers operating in Hampshire.

Hampshire Constabulary say they have been operating around villages in Test Valley.

The force says the group tends to be men selling cleaning materials who seem to be from the north of England and are carrying large black holdalls.

Officers have issued advice to residents, which includes always using a door chain when answering the door and if they are unsure not to open it.

Anyone seeing doorstep traders operating in their area should call the police on 101.
