A HAMPSHIRE biker has died after a crash on a busy road on the edge of the county.

A 23-year old motorcyclist from Romsey has died in hospital.

Their black Aprilia 125 motorcycle collided with a red Nissan Juke on Thursday night on the A36 near Landford.

Wiltshire Police want people to come forward following the fatal road smash which happened at about 5:45pm near the junction of Stock Lane.

Police attended the scene along with paramedics and the road was closed for several hours for investigation work.

PC Philip Tatum from the Tri-Force Roads Policing Unit said: “We are interested in speaking with anyone who was in the area of Landford during the time of this incident.

“If you witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle in the area please contact me.”
